On 28 October, at the gala for the ranking of the Pearls of Polish Economy, the most eminent Polish companies were honoured. AC S.A., the leader in the auto gas system industry from Białystok, which is listed in the Warsaw Stock Exchange, was honoured with the title of the Big Pearl of Polish Economy, thus winning the first place in the ranking.
It was the fourteenth edition of this event which is organised by the publisher of the Polish Market magazine (published in English).
The ranking of the Pearls of Polish Economy is compiled by the scientists from the Decision Analysis and Support Faculty at the Institute of Econometrics of the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH). The title of the Pearls of Polish Economy is granted on the basis of detailed criteria and methodology. The study in which the companies participate is free of charge.
An enterprise may enter the ranking competition if it has a revenue of at least PLN 100 million and if it returns a completed survey. The position in the survey depends not only on the size of the company measured with the value of total revenues, but also on its effectiveness, dynamics and financial liquidity.
The enterprises submitted and qualified for the ranking are classified (outside the division by sectors) in the categories of “Large Pearls” and “Big Pearls.”
The prerequisite for an enterprise to qualify for the classification procedure in the “Large Pearls” category is the achievement of net sale revenues and its equivalents in the financial year at a minimum of PLN 1 billion, while the prerequisite for the enterprise to qualify for the classification procedure in the “Big Pearls” category is a net revenue of at least PLN 100 million.
AC S.A. based in Białystok, headed by the President, Katarzyna Rutkowska, received the title of the Big Pearl.
This award was also granted to the following companies: PETRAX Sp. z o.o. and PROCHEM S.A. Capital Group.
It is worth noting that it is not the first time that AC S.A. was highly placed in the ranking of the Pearls of Polish Economy. However, this is the first time that it was placed first in the ranking.
