Together with the editorial board of the English language economic journal Polish Market the Institute of Economics of the Polish Academy of Sciences (INE PAN) has organised the 11th edition of a prestigious ranking list of the Pearls of Polish Economy. It is the only quality-based rating in Poland that is not produced on the basis of subjective assessments, but uses an algorithm developed by the Institute of Economics of the Polish Academy of Sciences that classifies enterprises in terms of their growth and efficiency, the employment of their resources, capital, means of production, and labour. Such information is fed into an INE PAN computer every year that processes data from over 2,000 of the largest Polish enterprises that are willing to be evaluated. Among the winners are companies which have a revenues of at least PLN 100mn (Large Pearls) or PLN 1bn (Great Pearls) over the period of one year.
We are proud to inform you that AC is a winner of a Large Pearl prize and has been ranked 7th which is quite high in this category. Announcement of the rating results was accompanied by the Great Gala Ceremony of Pearls that was held in the Royal Castle in Warsaw on 3 December and was one of the key economic events in Poland that brought together representatives of business, science, culture, and politics. The gala ceremony was honoured by the presence of Janusz Piechociński, Minister of Economy, who personally congratulated the winners of the prestigious prize.
