| |
As AC SA has its own Research and Development Department, the company regularly introduces new products with innovative technological solutions to its commercial offer. The Company has been trying to join the industry European leaders in the sector of new technologies development and manufacturing of technically advanced products. |
The products introduced by the Company meet global quality and environment protection standards and fulfil the requirements of valid technical norms. AC SA implements each year research projects on approximately 80 designs and prototypes of new products, from which over 40 are later commercially produced and sold. Modern IT tools, such as Altium Designer application based on DXP platform, are used during products design stage. The use of the application allows for designing printed circuit boards (PCB) on two levels - creating a physical platform using discrete elements, combined on a PCB and creating the ‘imbedded intelligence” of the product, using the programmable elements, such as microprocessors and software. |

| State of the art machinary and equipment |
The Company owns state of the art machinery and equipment. Most components are made in wholly automatic, precise and efficient technological lines. In order to secure its leading position in the industry, AC SA regularly upgrades its machines and equipment. AC SA acquired 26 modern machines for the total value of over PLN 8 million last year. Production in AC SA is organised in the four main production departments: Electronics, SMD, Electric Wire Groups and Mechanical Department. Assembly of electronic components in AC SA is realised in two ways: The THT Through-Hole Technology and SMT Surface Mount Technology. The Company has two modern lines for SMT with the total capacity of 80 000 components per hour.
The technological lines are equipped with state of the art fully automatic machines and equipment: ERSA N-Wave 330, Speedline MPM Accuflex and Momentum, FUJI NXT, ERSA HOTFLOW 7.The applied technologies allow for single and double sided mounting of electronic components as well as by spray soldering and with the use of glue. Casings for electronic components are made of aluminium or plastics. The Company owns modern injection presses made by the Austrian company ENGEL, with the injection capacity of 40, 60 and 90 tons and volume from 100 to 250 cm3. The machines can use composite moulds with hot canals and hydraulic rods of minimum height 200 mm. AC SA manufactures details from polypropylene, polyamides, ABS and reinforced plastics for own production and in cooperation. The department also uses extruding machines for plastics and

a press for rubber with the load of 220 bar and maximum vulcanisation temperature of 190ºC. Electrodes and moulds cavities are made by modern, numerically controlled Swiss machine tools MIKRON HSM 500. These machines have a very high rate of repeatability of manufactured details and mapping precision to 1 micron. Milling can be done with materials of high hardness HRC, including graphite. During the processing, diamond tools with high rotation speed up to 42 000 rpm are used. AC SA tool shop is equipped with electro-erosion machines and wire electro-erosion machines made by the Japanese company SODICK. Erosion process can be applied to any type of steel and non-ferrous metals.

| Maximum thickness of an eroded metal piece is 230 mm. In the Wire Groups Department, groups of cables are prepared from 60 to 10 000 mm length and from 0.35 to 4.0 mm2 cross-section. Production is realised in automatic production lines: Komax Zeta 633, Komax Alpha 477, TYCO Ampomator, Komax Kappa 220 and 225, STRUNK, Onda-Taper, operating in the TOPNET network. From 2 to 3 different types of tips, seals and relevant prints are applied on groups of wires during a single technological process. All machines have full crimping and seal application control as well as integrated tools for measuring the tip crimp height and tensile strength. All manufactured wire groups are computer tested. |
